I have questions.
First, I’d like to introduce you Yasmin Benoit, alleged “asexual” who is demanding that asexuality be a protected class under the law.
And she’s even gone so far as to get Stonewall UK involved, thus ensuring nobody will ever take that organization seriously ever again (not that they do).
I’d like to point out that personality traits are not worthy of protection under the law because, let’s face it, nobody gives a flying fuck, two shits and a rat’s ass if you don’t have a sex drive: your lack of sex drive is likely a consequence of a poor diet and drug abuse and you should lay off the meth, SSRIs, Adderall, Ketamine, or whatever your drug of choice is.
The thing is, Yasmin, nobody cares (in case it hasn’t been made clear to you). Nobody is arsed enough to be at all concerned with who you’re not sleeping with.
That you are “asexual”, have you been denied employment, housing, or equal protection under the law? Is anyone discriminating against you because of your alleged lack of interest in sex? And exactly how would they know?
My guess is something along the lines of an old joke: how do you know there’s a vegan at your dinner party? Don’t worry, they’ll tell you.
Precisely why does your lack of interest in sex require any kind of legal recognition? From what does your lack of interest in sex require protection?
This quest for victimhood is beyond cretinous.
Upon reflection, why would anyone be afraid of the alleged draconian UN population controls that are most assuredly never going to happen when certain of us are already doing what they can to never breed and why would governments be moved to enact them?
I’m actually happy that Yasmin and people like her have elected to be genetic dead-enders. This is an idea I fully endorse, less competition for my descendants and the sooner we’ve bred this Stupid Gene out of existence, the better.
If Yasmin has convinced herself “asexuality” is a problem that seeks remediation under legal protection, she is indeed privileged.
What sheltered lives our young people live these days that this is even thought about, never mind a priority!
Oh, you want legal recognition? Okay…I legally recognize this to be narcissistic and attention seeking.
You don’t want to have sex? Bully for you! There are a lot of people on this planet who don’t want to have sex for a whole number of reasons and the lot of them happily get on with their lives free of any discrimination and/or prejudice.
You’re not oppressed, Yasmin - just pathetic.
Put another way, your nan asking when you’re going to find a nice bloke and settle down doesn’t qualify as discrimination.
I’m a 54-year-old man who's in the twilight of his sexual prime, but that’s only down to age and type II diabetes, and that’s to be expected. We all go through “the change” the older we get and, eventually, we lose all interest in sex, however; nobody, except you, is begging for a slice of the oppression pie.
There are 64 countries that have laws that criminalize homosexuality, how many have laws against asexuality?
Yasmin, clearly you are swimming in a very large pond of privilege if you decide this is your biggest worry in life. Not many black or minority women could say the same.
I’m a dead-ender too but I’ve had so very much sex that the diminished drive to have more is a blessing.
Yasmine is just like the “trans” brats; an unashamed attention, uh, whore.
