Adele Loves Being A Woman And Trans Twitter Loses Its Mind
Adele is accused of being "anti-trans" after telling genderless BRITs she "loves being a FEMALE artist"
It was the shot heard ‘round the Twitter when Grammy winning artist Adele took a swing at the insufferably woke genderless BRIT Award ceremonies that only decided to go this route because they didn’t want to upset Sam Smith - a man with zero personality and makes up for it by LARPing as an alien hermaphrodite with a Ken-doll crotch in order to sell any albums as he identifies as “non-binary” - by telling Woke-O Halal to their collective faces:
I love being a woman
And with that, Trans Twitter just up and lost its collective shit by vowing to “boycott” Adele.
One LGBTQ activist said: “Please, no, ADELE can't be a TERF. That last comment, though ambiguous, could be perceived as TERF-Y. Please no”. Another critic said: “I love Adele but that 'woman' comment seemed like a bit of a dig, non binary artists deserve better”. Paul M Rodriguez Jr said he had “lost a lot of respect for Adele” and would “not spend a cent on her music”, adding: “What sux I really liked her”.
You know what? Adele, like Janice from Accounting, doesn’t give a fuck! In fact, Adele has already cashed that check from the money you paid when you already bought the music!
Of course, the women (and Debbie Hayton) are applauding Adele.
A spokesman for charity Safeguard Women & Girls said: “Yes, women are part of society, 50% actually. @Adele you make every woman I know proud. You're an inspiration to many of what can be achieved”.
British transgender high school teacher Debbie Hayton said: “Adele's message to women and girls was inspirational. Here was a woman – who has sold tens of millions of albums – telling the world she was proud to be a woman. That's something to celebrate, not condemn”.
He told the Spectator that in speaking out Adele risked being put in a group of talented women like JK Rowling who “have been pursued and persecuted mercilessly, simply for standing up for their sex.”
Journalist and women's rights activist Inna Shevchenko said: “Welcome to the Brave Inclusive New World: Now saying ‘I really love being a woman, I really love being a female artist' is enough to be labeled as a TERF and a transphobe”.
Feminist Victoria Smith tweeted: “It's really nice to hear someone saying she loves being a woman. I increasingly think a lot of what we see as generational tension in feminism comes down to a form of self-hate - 'I'm ashamed of being female, I don't want to become *that*”.
Of course this is a good thing for Adele, mainly because she can’t be cancelled. She is the world’s top selling artist and with that no record label executive, no matter how insufferably woke they are, would dare.
Welcome to the party, Adele. Slay, queen!
What the world needs is more of Adele’s telling it like it is and not less. In the meantime if you enjoy me telling it like it is, consider taking out a paid subscription.
what disgusts me and roils my cervix is that if a transwoman had won that award and made the same statement he would have been stunning and brave and the twans community would have swooned in rampant admiration.
Ugh. Infuriating.
When the NY Times ran an article featuring guys into "pup play" in SF (https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/26/style/pup-play.html) I thought, sure live and let live, then I got to "When sexual fetishists form communities around their shared pastimes, their bedroom interests often manifest in nonsexual settings," and the guy who used his "pup name" for four years at work, and "for a time he asked co-workers and friends to refer to him by the pronoun “pup.”" I just kept thinking, there's a woman working there who is putting up with this shit and marking the days until she can retire, and now I know her name: Janice in Accounting.
