The new acoustic take is based directly off the original 9/8 audio seed — the same foundational groove and odd-meter pulse that drove the full version.
Instead of building it out with drums, bass, or extra layers, I stripped it back to the bone: solo voice and acoustic guitar. The 9/8 rhythm stays intact, but it feels completely different in this format. The seed’s restless, propulsive energy is still there in the fingerpicking and the way the phrases land across the bar, but now it’s intimate and exposed.
The result is a quieter but no less firm statement. The 9/8 meter keeps it from sounding too polite or predictable — it still has that slight edge and forward motion, even when it’s just guitars.
