Not Our Crimes Act VIII
A Violent Serial Killer Of Women Is Now Incarcerated In A Women's Prison Thanks To Self-ID
This newsletter has covered this individual before and it comes as no surprise that he should find his way back into the news again.
At least not to me and certainly not to any of my readers.
Douglas Robert Perry murdered three prostitutes in a four-month timeframe in 1990. Yolanda Sapp, 26, Nicki Lowe, 34, and Kathleen Brisbois, 38, were all found shot to death and their naked bodies disposed of near and along the Spokane River.
Somehow Perry managed to avoid any suspicion for the murders and in 2000 he fled the country to Thailand where he underwent gender reassignment surgery in order to conceal his identity further and it wasn’t until 2012 where he was forced to undergo a DNA test on an illegal weapons charge that he was finally linked to the murders of Brisbois, Lowe and Sapp.
We know his plan to use gender reassignment to conceal his true identity and evade justice, as the prosecutors at his murder trial pointed out, by the fact Perry referred to his "male" and "female" identities in separate contexts, accusing his "male" side of having committed the crimes while his "female" identity was innocent of them.
In 2017 a jury ultimately found Perry guilty on all charges and was given three consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole.
What is particularly galling in the media’s coverage of the trial was their continued use of “she/her” pronouns and their continued insistence that Perry was actually a woman. Some media outlets even went as far as to suggest that men who transition experience a downward trend in violence, a claim that was debunked in 2011 by a Swedish study that concluded male pattern predation and violence doesn’t end when it puts on lipstick, a dress and calls itself Susan.
While he was imprisoned for 18 months on a unrelated charge in 1998 he told his cellmate that he had killed upwards of nine prostitutes because he couldn't breed and the women had the ability to have children but they were wasting it being “pond scum”.
So why is this man back on the radar? Well, a whistleblower has reported (and since been confirmed) that as of May 2021, Perry is now an inmate at the Washington Corrections Center for Women and is also one of 150 males slated for the same transfer.
Perry has appealed his conviction for three counts of first degree murder in 2020, and the appellate court chose to "use masculine pronouns when describing Perry before 2000 and feminine pronouns when describing Perry after the gender reassignment.”
Perry’s appeal was ultimately denied.
I’d like to point out once again (and it bears repeating and often) that being “correctly” gendered isn’t a human right after all but merely a concession of both politeness and etiquette and when a transgendered individual is arrested and their crimes laid bare, all bets are off.
Nobody cares about the feelings of someone who has crossed a line that was never meant to be crossed, especially and precisely when it comes to murder. It’s hard enough to validate trans activists delusions on a good day but asking anybody to humor and entertain the delusions of a serial killer is a bridge too far.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to proffer a theory as to why anyone would complain and object to this, or any other trans person, being misgendered: they, too, have something to hide and if Douglas Perry can lose his pronoun privileges for the heinous crimes he’s committed, so can they.
The process by which we can identify males who claim to be female in prisons is now going to get infinitely harder in Washington as there is a bill before the state legislature which would disallow disclosures of information that could reveal an inmate's transgender or nonbinary status.
If enacted, it could prevent the public from obtaining information about how many male inmates are being housed in women's institutions thus preventing the public from ever knowing if a violent serial killer of women like Douglas Perry is in fact being housed in a women’s prison.
Finally, I want to take this opportunity to remind everyone this is the same Washington state that housed Hobbie Bingham, a trans identified male also known as Princess Zoe Andromeda Love, who was transferred to WCCW and was discovered naked in bed with a female prisoner who doctors described as having the mental development of a young child, the relationship characterized by a former corrections officer and his partner as “predator-victim” instead of “two inmates in love, after having consensual intercourse," which is how it had initially been written off by the prison.
The report for this incident has subsequently been erased, possibly a cover-up as WCCW was facing a lawsuit barring the release of a prisoner’s gender identity.
Upon release, Bingham went right back to identifying as male.
It truly is a sad and dark day when prison officials care more for the feelings of trans activists than it does the victims of sexual assault.
