That Thing That Never Happens, Again
LGBTQI+ Trans Activist Arrested And Charged With Raping Two Children
Kendall Stephens, who was born a man, has been charged with raping two boys under the age of 13 in Philadelphia.
Some of the charges include indecent assault against a person less than 13 years old, rape, unlawful contact with minor sexual offenses, and endangering the welfare of children - parent or guardian.
In the state of Pennsylvania, the legal definition of a child is a person who has not yet reached their 18th birthday. This definition is based on the Pennsylvania Children’s Code.
Additionally, the Child Protective Services Law (CPSL) defines a child as an individual under 18 years of age.
A judge set his bail at $250,000 and his next court appearance is scheduled for December 29.
The prominent LGBTQ+ activist came to prominence in August of 2020 after he was attacked in his Point Breeze neighborhood. He says He was targeted by a violent group for being a trans woman.
Stephens then became a prominent activist for the LGBTQ+ community and he urged lawmakers to change Pennsylvania's hate crimes statute to include protections for LGBTQ+ people.
We have got to start making an example out of people. This is ridiculous and far too common.
The TRAs will continue to stain their own reputations as long as they continue to accept these people within their ranks. Not policing their ranks makes them guilty by association in the eyes of most people.
These accusations come just months after Stephens’ friend journalist and activist Josh Kruger was shot and killed at his Point Breeze home on October 2nd. The suspect, 19-year-old Robert Davis, is still at large and considered to be armed and dangerous.
Shortly after police named Davis as the suspect, accusations began to emerge that there was more to the story of Kruger’s connection to Davis. A source familiar with details of the investigation into Kruger’s murder told reporters that police had accessed Kruger’s cell phone and found “troubling” messages between the two.
The family of Davis has come forward with alarming allegations in which Davis’s mother and brother claim that Kruger’s relationship with Davis began when Davis was just 15 and that the relationship included sex and drugs. They also said Davis told them that Kruger had threatened to post sexually explicit videos of him online. There have been credible reports that investigators found “disturbing” images and messages on Kruger’s phone. That content is now in the hands of the Special Victims Unit.
Kruger had written for publications like The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Magazine, the Philadelphia Citizen, and the Philly Voice on the LGBTQ community and its issues within it, such as AIDS, homelessness and addiction.
He was eulogized by two sitting US Senators, John Fetterman and Bob Casey, as well as Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Kranser, himself once having faced impeachment and removal from office.
