The Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR), also known as the International Transgender Day of Remembrance, has been observed annually (from its inception) on November 20 as a day to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia. The day was founded to draw attention to the continued violence endured by transgender people.
Yes, all 32 of them.
That’s the amount of so-called “gender non-conforming” people who died this year, according to Yahoo News.
What the media fails to tell you is the extenuating circumstances in which trans people are killed and, believe me when I tell you, it has precisely zero reasons to do with being trans.
Most trans people are into prostitution, in and of itself a dangerous profession for anyone engaged in it regardless of being transgendered while some are killed in drug deals gone bad and a few have died at the hands of a domestic partner.
While nobody deserves to die or otherwise be assaulted the bottom line is that it’s mostly women (the ones without penises) who are often the victims of transgender violence so, with that in mind, let’s go ahead and remember the people who have been victimized at the hands of a trans person.
Dana Rivers
Dana Rivers was born David Warfield. In 1999, he claimed that he was a woman and underwent surgery to persuade others that he was, in fact, a woman. At the time, he was a high school teacher. He openly discussed his fetish with his teenage students and was subsequently fired. He sued, and the case settled.
Just after midnight on November 11, 2016, police received reports about gunshots being fired at a home on Dunbar Drive, in Oakland, California. When they responded, they found Rivers drenched in blood and running from the doorway of the house. He was in possession of knives, ammunition, and metal knuckles. The house was on fire. Inside the house, the police found two women whose bodies were riddled with bullets and stab wounds. They also found a young man laid out in front of the house who had been shot to death. Rivers has been charged with numerous serious and violent offenses, including murder and arson.
The victims: Patricia Wright and Charlotte Reed, a married lesbian couple, and Toto Diambu (known as Benny Diambu-Wright), their 19-year-old son.
An Alameda County Superior Court jury just found Dana Rivers guilty on all counts.
Who remembers Patricia Wright, Charlotte Reed and Benny Diambu-Wright?
Shane Jacob Green
This is Shane Jacob Green, sometimes goes by Stephanie and he wants you all to know he’s really a woman, so much so that when he arrived in Parry Sound on August 22 of this year he managed to “convince” the local women’s shelter there that he really, really needed a place to stay.
Because he’s totally a woman.
But once he was admitted access to the shelter, he did what any normal woman would do hard-up and needing a place to stay for the night: he allegedly made sexually inappropriate comments to staff and clients.
The, two days later, he’s alleged to have sexually assaulted one of the women, a client, at the shelter.
In 2018, Green was convicted of sexual assault after he dragged a 15-year-old female McDonald’s employee into a bathroom stall at one of the fast food giant’s restaurants. Inside the stall, Green attacked the victim who was cleaning the washroom.
Who remembers his 15-year old victim he dragged into a McDonalds’ bathroom today? Where’s the remembrance for the woman he sexually assaulted in a shelter in Parry Sound?
Douglas “Donna” Perry
Douglas Robert Perry murdered three prostitutes in a four-month timeframe in 1990. Yolanda Sapp, 26, Nicki Lowe, 34, and Kathleen Brisbois, 38, were all found shot to death and their naked bodies disposed of near and along the Spokane River.
Somehow Perry managed to avoid any suspicion for the murders and in 2000 he fled the country to Thailand where he underwent gender reassignment surgery in order to conceal his identity further and it wasn’t until 2012 where he was forced to undergo a DNA test on an illegal weapons charge that he was finally linked to the murders of Brisbois, Lowe and Sapp.
We know his plan to use gender reassignment to conceal his true identity and evade justice, as the prosecutors at his murder trial pointed out, by the fact Perry referred to his "male" and "female" identities in separate contexts, accusing his "male" side of having committed the crimes while his "female" identity was innocent of them.
In 2017 a jury ultimately found Perry guilty on all charges and was given three consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole.
Again, I have to ask: where’s the remembrance for Brisbois, Lowe and Sapp?
Leudis Isaac Corro Camacho
He recruited both women and transwomen in Venezuela, where they suffered from tremendous economic vulnerability. He promised them a job in Spain and then forced them to have breast augmentation operations and liposuctions, subsequently forcing them into prostitution to pay off their “debts”.
Leudis Isaac Corro Camacho is a trans-identified male from Venezuela whose cruelty earned him the nickname “La Diabla” (the she-devil) and because of his crimes he was #1 with a bullet on Europol’s Most Wanted list.
"La Diabla" was arrested in Hamburg by agents of the German Federal Office of Criminal Investigation (BKA) thanks to Spanish police investigations and the citizen collaboration that placed him in that city.
He was one of the three most wanted criminals in Spain, who was listed until his arrest on the list released by Europol, Europe's Most Wanted 2021.
Corro Camacho was wanted for the crimes of trafficking in human beings, money laundering and criminal organization, being involved in sexual exploitation that he exercised to multiple women and transwomen in different parts of Spain, mainly in the cities of Zaragoza, Oviedo and Barcelona.
Some of his victims also reported physical assaults to the police and even testified that "La Diabla" made "sales" of women to other clubs or pimps when their victims could “no longer perform”.
I say again: where’s the remembrance for his victims?
Hobbie Bingham
Hobbie Bingham (seen above) was convicted in Louisiana in 2003 for the offense of Carnal Knowledge Of A Juvenile (commonly known as statutory rape) of a 12 year old and received a six year sentence with four years suspended by a judge and was also ordered to register as a low-level offender.
Not content victimizing a 12-year old girl, Bingham was subsequently transferred to a women’s prison in Washington where he was discovered naked in bed with a female prisoner who doctors described as having the mental development of a young child.
The two had reportedly been cellmates for at least a week before being discovered.
Apparently, he died of a drug overdose but, again, this begs a question: on what day do we remember the 12-year-old he raped and the mentally disabled female prisoner who never should have been locked up with him?
Jakob Nieves
Jakob Nieves, a transgender who also goes by the name "Dakota", was charged in Boston for making and distributing videos that showed him sexually abusing two children under four years of age having distributed one of these videos to a FBI agent.
When is their Day of Remembrance?
Dana McCallum 2014
"Dana" McCallum, alias Contreras, previous name Dan, is a male Twitter engineer who was convicted in 2014 for assaulting, raping and trespassing on his former wife. He carried out the rape when all three children were in the house in San Francisco, California. McCallum, who has claimed to be a social justice warrior in the past, and calls himself an LGBT activist, pleaded guilty to five charges. He got no custodial sentence, pleading the psychological stress of his transition.
I wonder when his ex-wife and child will be remembered?
Michael-Deon Wash
I will always be amazed how so many men find their true and authentic gender identity right before they’re about to be (or have been) convicted for crimes against women and children so heinous as to gag a maggot.
The Fulton County, Georgia District Attorney has announced that Michael Deon Wash pleaded guilty to the abuse and murder of his 7-year-old daughter, Kamarie. Wash now goes by the name “Milan” and has recently come out as a transgender “woman.”
At what point do we remember Kamarie?
James Tubbs
Back in 2014, James entered a women’s bathroom in a Denny’s where he promptly grabbed a 10 year old girl by the throat, pushed her into a stall where he locked her in and proceeded to put his hand down her pants.
The thing is James was 17 at the time he committed this crime, was very much male and what should come as no surprise to the readers of this fine newsletter was that once the law caught up with him in Idaho (where he had eventually fled California to) he started identifying as female.
We are all supposed to believe that he suddenly came down with gender dysphoria despite not ever having had gender dysphoria.
At long last, when do we remember the 10-year-old girl he sexually assaulted in a Denny’s bathroom?
Like but obviously don’t like 😒
