Twitter Nixes Jordan Peterson
The psychologist and Youtuber's profile was suspended after tweet saying 'criminal physician' removed Page's breasts
A post by Jordan Peterson about transgender actor Elliot Page that broke Twitter's "against hateful conduct" guidelines reportedly resulted in his suspension from the social media site.
The offending tweet from the account of the Canadian clinical psychologist have been posted online. It read: "Remember when pride was a sin? And Ellen Page just had her breasts removed by a criminal physician."
The 60-year-old Peterson, who on Thursday began working for the conservative podcast Daily Wire, is well-known for his anti-trans stance. On Joe Rogan's podcast, he once asserted that being transgender is a "contagion" and is comparable to "satanic ritual abuse."
Peterson has a history of disputes with Twitter, and this one is the most recent. After being criticized for humiliating Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover model Yumi Nu, Peterson boldly declared in May that he was "quitting" the platform.
Young women in the United States and in western countries have had a hard time just being young women for years and are in real, palpable pain. Nearly all of them have struggled with some form of eating disorders, self-harm and other serious mental health issues. Some have even succumbed to substance abuse. The pressure to be pretty, popular, to live up to an impossible ideal of what a young woman should be has always been great but now is ridiculously amplified by social media, a pervasive influence that can’t be ignored and rather than try to live up to these impossible standards and ideals of being young women more and more of them are, in my estimation, turning to calling themselves transgender as the ultimate Get Out Of Your Oppression card.
There is virtually no online dissent on transgender issues for any young woman to learn about. There isn’t any good information out there on puberty blockers or hormone replacement therapies that come with nasty side effects. Social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and Tumblr celebrate being a transgender person and make it appear life affirming, even validating though nearly 40% of transgender people are themselves clinically depressed to the point of suicide and have taken their own lives.
Which, of course, begs a question: if being transgender is such a wonderful, life affirming experience for everyone then why are 4 in 10 of them committing suicide?
And there doesn’t exist at all the stories of detransitioners, women who chose to medically transition to male and later regretted it and then went off their hormone regimen.
Trans Rights Activists would prefer you didn’t have an informed opinion on the subject at all because the endgame here is to sew chaos. They would prefer you to be sullen, angry and resentful of your family. They would like you to be part of a permanent victim class taking umbrage at everything they believe to be transphobic.
