ACLU: We Must Sacrifice Our Children's Genitals To Moloch Or He Won't Make The Rains Come And Our Crops Will Wither And Die
Texas Edition
The American Civil Liberties Union has filed a lawsuit against the state of Texas, much like it has done in other states, that aims to safeguard children from the potential risks of drugs and surgeries involved in gender transition.
The lawsuit is centered on the ACLU's claim that it infringes upon parental autonomy, as guaranteed by the Texas constitution. Their argument is that gender-affirming medical interventions, including sex changes, are crucial for children and teenagers experiencing gender dysphoria, and that parents should have the right to make decisions about their children's medical care to address this condition.
The medical approach to treating gender dysphoria in minors remains a topic of ongoing debate. While the Worth Professional Association for Transgender Health argues for the medical necessity of gender-affirming treatments, asserting that there should be no age restrictions on sex change services, they also introduce the concept of "eunuch" as a gender identity that children can identify with.
However, numerous doctors in Europe and the US hold a different perspective, advocating for a cautious approach to children and teens experiencing gender confusion or dysphoria. Their stance suggests that it is best to adopt a wait-and-see approach and refrain from making any irreversible, life-altering decisions until the child reaches the age of consent. This approach allows for careful consideration and ensures that any long-term decisions are made with the informed consent of the individual.
A recently introduced Texas bill enforces restrictions on state medical insurance coverage for child sex changes. This includes any procedures or treatments aimed at altering a child's biological sex as determined by their sex organs, chromosomes, and endogenous profiles.
According to the bill, healthcare professionals are prohibited from performing surgeries that result in the sterilization of a child or administering drugs that induce either temporary or permanent infertility. The legislation aims to regulate and limit certain medical interventions for gender dysphoria in minors, particularly those with potential irreversible effects on their reproductive health.
Scheduled to take effect on September 1, the Texas bill is facing opposition from the ACLU, which aims to replicate their previous successes in overturning similar laws in Florida. The ACLU, together with five anonymous families in the state, has filed a lawsuit challenging the bill. The children involved in the suit range in age from 9 to 16.
The ACLU argues that the bill would have significant negative consequences, as it would prohibit necessary and life-saving medical care for transgender youth in Texas. Additionally, it would disrupt the healthcare of adolescent minors who are currently undergoing treatment for gender dysphoria. The organization also claims that the bill would potentially lead to the revocation of medical licenses for physicians who provide the best standard of care to their transgender patients.
The ACLU has been making progress in their fight to ensure access to sex changes for children across various states. They have secured victories in Florida, Arkansas, Alabama, Oklahoma, Utah, and Tennessee, while simultaneously challenging laws in Idaho and Montana. Their efforts aim to defend the rights of transgender youth and their access to medical care related to gender-affirming treatments.
"The ACLU argues that the bill would have significant negative consequences, as it would prohibit necessary and life-saving medical care for transgender youth in Texas."
"Life-saving." I wasn't aware that "gender dysphoria" was potentially fatal.
This is the tacit acceptance of the second-biggest lie in "gender ideology": that deprivation of physical gender "transitioning" leads directly to suicide. The biggest lie is, of course, that there is such a thing as sex change. "Eunuch" is not a sex, it is a deficiency that has historically been used as a punishment for captured soldiers, for 𝑐𝑎𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑖 to sing in church choirs, and as a preparation for harem guards.
A few data points.
(1) gender "affirmation" only got off the ground around 2009, but if the activists are to be believed (and they absolutely should not) then 0.5-1.5% of the population is transgender (reality is in the area of 0.0015%) and before 2009 the bodies of suicided teens should have formed mountains of corpses. Didn't happen.
(2) there is a big reversal in several European countries in esteem for neutering kids who suddenly claim to be "trans," and in Finland this has been for all intents and purposes curtailed. There has been no spike in suicides.
A point of order. The diagnosis of "gender dysphoria" comes from 2013 and DSM-5, which we have to regard as illegitimate, and the term along with it, as it allows self-reports to count as diagnosis. Given the compulsion of teens to conform, this is anything but acceptable. These are mostly gay kids and they are getting hysterectomies and orchiectomies in response to a fucking fad.
We should return to calling it "gender identity disorder" and treating it as a disorder, not as a "misassignment" at birth that needs to be corrected.
