I have Type II Diabetes. When I was diagnosed, I weighed 264 pounds and had an A1C of 11.5. In three months, I dropped that to 5.5 and I lost over 100 pounds (not in three months, that took considerably longer).
I have it too, but I have only been overweight around 1995 when I was on Zoloft. I'll be 70 in March and still have a 32" waist and bench over 200.
It would be a lot harder to lose that kind of weight with diabetes. I think my A1C is about the same. But my legs are really weak and my equilibrium is in the toilet
I had ulcers on one foot, but I treated them super aggressively and they've been gone over a year. I decided that if I was told the foot had to come off, I would call it a day, They were crevasses from one side of the foot to the other.
I had really bad neuropathy, pain, but it went away.
Pardon me, a spring just popped out of my head.
I just had someone email me just now saying this was "public shaming" and that I was "making it worse".
Anyone who uses the word "shaming" needs a mob beating.
Once on FB I mentioned how fat Trump was and someone implored be to stop the "body shaming."
I said, BITCH, I dropped over 100 pounds in nine months, and anyone unhappy with body condition can start going to the gym and shut the fuck up.
Not to mention all those people with cancer, MS, and other ailments who would do cartwheels of joy if all they had to do to get well was eat less.
So, no, I will not refrain from "body shaming."

Mine as well, and the neuropathy is the worst.

About as lapse as I have been in writing them. It's okay.
I threw up into my mouth just a little.
I mean, seriously, how delusional does he have to be?
Well...he's delusional enough to think he's a woman.
